This series 42 traveller car is used on particularly high load mainsheet systems for the athwartships style of mainsheet where the mainsheet is dead ended on one side of the yacht and then led to the opposite side of the yacht via this car/boom block,providing 2:1 mainsheet purchase. Two RF158000W sheaves are incorporated into the stirrup design. The control lines are dead ended on the car body via 12mm shackles,providing a straight 1:1 purchase.This particular car was controlled by hydraulic cylinders. |
