This through deck sheave box is used for the transverse jib system on the Custom RP-Nauta 100 performance cruiser built by Southern Wind Shipyard. The sheave box uses two series 100 plain bearing sheaves and two series 75 plain bearing sheaves to deflect the transverse car G055-1324 control lines through the deck to the hydraulic rams, all sheaves are fitted with torlon side thrust bearings for high efficiency. This sheave box is fitted with an al.alloy cover plate to prevent water from easily passing below deck. End stop fittings G055-1298 and G055-1303 are used at the track ends of this system and transverse car G055-1324 in conjunction with floating block B125-1568 create a 2:1 purchase and multiple sheeting angles. |
