This series 26 car is a very light car machined from solid series 26 extrusion and is not fitted with conventional end caps. All excess superfluous material has been machined from the car body to keep this car as light and simple as possible. The car would typically be use for self tacking jib cars,traveller cars (several cars can be lashed together to create a strong car that can run around a tight bend radius.)or transverse and longitudinal jib and genoa cars. The car is fitted with Torlon ball bearings. This car is particularly useful for use with modern strop and lashing blocks with the smooth machined eye providing a chafe free attachment point for the attachment strops and lashing. |
