This series 55 deflector is fitted with ten 55mm diameter high load sheaves and is used to deflect the genoa sheet and staysail sheet to lead them to the winches. With deck space being precious this double stacked multi sheave fitting takes up less room than an equivalent strength double footblock that is more commonly seen for this application. The body of this fitting is machined from solid alloy HE-30 and is anodised black. |
