This series 125 runner deck block has highly hand polished st.steel 316 cheek plates and hub securing screws to match the style and quality of a new build classic 12mR yacht. The al.alloy plain bearing sheave is silver anodised and runs on a plain bearing. The block is supplied with the deck securing base plate supplied loose so that the boatyard can trim the cheek plates to the correct angle and then weld on the deck plate to suit the final fixed angle of the backstay runner once the mast is rigged. Supplying the base plate loose ensures the correct final alignment of the sheave. The 12mR yacht that this block has been designed for was the final design number 434 by the Norwegian Johan Anker who sadly passed away in 1940 shortly after completing his final masterpiece. Due to the outbreak of war this yacht was never built. Robbe & Berking Classics are currently building this yacht for a Scandinavian owner |
