This Series 30 Captive Ball High Load Headboard car has been designed for use on the powerful high performance cruising Gunboat 66 catamaran "Phaedo" which has a mainsail area of 157 MS. The stirrup of the car is machined from solid Al.alloy and has webbing attachment slots with rounded edges to provide a chafe free attachment to the head of the mainsail. This Gunboat also used the following cars in the system: 1x M030-1329 "Fat top" Batten car and 5x M200-0900 high load Batten car. The Headboard car M030-2009 was also used on the similar sized A65 Catamaran designed by Nigel Irens. |
