This traveller car has been designed for the fast cruising yacht Mylius 50. The car has been designed to fit into a recess in the deck so that the traveller car cannot be seen creating a clean appearance. To fit into the recess the car had to be kept as compact as possible and the stirrup assembly have its rotation limited to 5 degree. The stirrup assembly incorporates an RF78000W sheave for the mainsheet and six plain bearing sheaves for the control line purchase. Holes in the side of the stirrup provide control line dead end points which enable a 7:1 purchase if required. This mainsheet car is suitable for a German system. The mainsheet car runs on torlon ball bearings. |
