This series 42 end control has been designed for the Baltic 62-02. The end control has a rubber buffer fitted to protect the genoa car should it make contact with this end control fitted at the aft end of the series 42 genoa tracks. Two high load series 75 Al.alloy plain bearing sheaves with torlon side thrust bearings are incorporated in the end control mounted in an Al.alloy sheave box to lead the genoa sheet below the deck. The underdeck part of the sheave box is fitted with a st.steel threaded spigot to allow the connection of a watertight tube in which the genoa sheet is led aft to the winches. |
