This series 55 genoa car has been designed specifically for the SWS 94. The car has the following features: A series 150 plain bearing sheave with side thrust ball bearings is mounted between highly hand polished cheek plates. The car body is fitted with torlon ball bearings for ease of adjustment at high loads. At the forward end of the car body an Al.alloy towing lug is fitted to which a spectra strop can be used to connect this car to the staysail car G055-0805. At the aft end of the car is fitted a plunger stopper used for more permanent positioning of the car whilst cruising. |
