This block has been designed for the 4:1 purchase mainsheet system of the traditional Barge "Lotus Eater". The Al.alloy black anodised sheave used in the bock is plain bearing with torlon ball bearings to handle the side thrust and to help the sheave to run smoothly. All the St.steel components used in this block,ie the cheek plates,the head loop and the sheave securing screws are highly hand polished. The mainsail area on this boat is 93 square meters |
