This series 42 Quadrace ball bearing car has been designed for the Offshore Challenge Open 60 monohull for use as a combined mainsheet/vang car. Three of these cars are linked together on the bent track (2800mm "A" bend plan view radius). The combined load of the three cars linked with rope strops is 5100 kg. The important feature of this car is its high load captive bearing system,and its light weight with as much redundent material removed from the car body as possible |
