This transverse floating block is used typically with a transverse genoa car such as G042-0577. The larger (80mm diameter x 39mm wide) plain bearing sheave is designed to handle the genoa sheet. The smaller (60mm diameter) plain bearing sheave is for the 2:1 vertical control line purchase. A block hanging point is incorporated into the block design to enable an elastic support to be attached so that the block can be hung from a part of the rig such as the lower diagonal etc. |
