This traveller car has been designed for use on the very powerful ORMA 60 trimaran class.The track that the mainsheet car has to run on (part number T042-0854)has tight bends in two planes in order that it can be fitted to the curved aft beam of this multihull,the bend details being 5000mm "B" bend (concave side view) and 4000mm horizontal "A" bend (plan view). Six of these cars are lashed together using spectra strops,and the mainsheet blocks are then also lashed to the elongated slots in the car body.The combined mwl of six cars attached together is 10800 kg,each car using the series 42 Quadrace torlon ball bearing system having an individual mwl of 1800 kg.The individual car body length is 121mm |
