This fixed stirrup high load halyard block has been designed typically for offshore racing yachts such as the Volvo 70.The block is attached to the deck around the mast to deflect primary halyards aft. A plain bearing sheave with torlon side thrust bearings is used in order to cope with the high static loads that such a block will have to handle. The sheave diameter of this block is 100mm and fastening holes in the stirrup base are provided for 2x M12 CSK screws and 1x M10 CSK screw |
