This series 100 block is designed to be mounted on the gunwhale of a cruiser/racer. The securing holes are kept as close together as possible to enable the block to be mounted on this narrow structure of the boat. The block was used on this particular yacht to deflect the tail of the runner system by approximately 15 degrees. To keep the block as compact as possible and to maintain a high MWL a custom Al.alloy plain bearing sheave with torlon side thrust bearings was used. |
